But no creature in this world, be it fictional or real, has no weaknesses, and our beloved Superman is no different. We all know that Superman is vulnerable in the presence of Kryptonite, but aside from the green stone, Superman has several other weaknesses as well. The source of Superman's powers lies in the radiation from our yellow sun. But on his home planet of Krypton, he would be nothing more than an ordinary person, just like you and me. Krypton's red sun would never have given Kal-El the superhuman strength we know him for.
In the animated film, Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, which was released in 2013, we see that in an alternate timeline, Kal-El was found by the government instead of the Kents and was imprisoned as a test subject. We see that Superman is weak and powerless when Flash, Batman and Cyborg find him locked deep inside a government facility that simulates the radiation from a red sun. When they carry Superman out and sunlight hits him, he develops superpowers and saves everyone.
