Batman has always been an important part of the DC Universe and is also easily one of the most beloved characters in the franchise. Over the years, several actors and voice actors have played the role of the caped crusader, the most recent being Ben Affleck in the now-transitional DCEU and Robert Pattinson in The Batman. But under James Gunn, the DC universe is being rebuilt from the ground up, and it's time for Gunn to pass the mantle to someone new.
