Mikio Ikemoto opens up about the differences between Naruto and Boruto's evolution, admitting that Boruto's privilege plays a huge role in his personality.

Boruto would be like Jujutsu Kaisen!

The announcement of a sequel for any popular and beloved series is sure to bring joy, and so was the case with Boruto. But the fans' anticipation was not rewarded, as Boruto: Naruto's Next Generations failed to meet the expectations and standards set by its predecessor. One way to solve this problem was through great characters that fans could relate to, and they already had an advantage with the Naruto characters. On the face of it, this simple solution was not so simple.

As the story progressed in the Boruto manga, the focus was reduced to the two main characters, sidelining every other character. This happened in Naruto Shippuden as well, but the characters in focus were actually likable, although the same cannot be said for Boruto and Kawaki.

Simply because the characters from both series are worlds apart and the newer generation pales in comparison. Mikio Ikemoto, the creator of Boruto, made an interesting differentiation between the characters, giving a new perspective.
