Deck building can be either the most daunting or the most exciting part of any card-based game. It all depends on how you look at it.
If you start Across the Obelisk or any other game with deck building mechanics, more often than not you would stick with the standard build deck and make minor adjustments to it as you go along.
There's nothing wrong with doing this, but at higher levels you may find yourself at a disadvantage as the battles become tougher and enemies take less damage from certain types of cards or even sometimes negate those damage entirely.
