Activision's sense that Black Ops 6's sales were threatened by a mod for a four-year-old game probably wasn't on anyone's BINGO card.

Activision are evil…

At least Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 had everyone happy, until Activision Blizzard managed to hurt the feelings of a decent portion of the community with their latest move. The studio has shut down the long-awaited H2M-Mod project, causing outrage among fans.

The fan-led initiative was to do what the studio failed to give fans in the first place, and sending a legal notice to modders who tried to right their wrongs has only positioned them as martyrs while painting a target on their backs.

H2M-Mod is officially dead after Activision sent the team members a cease and desist. Taking no chances, the team immediately shut down all operations, and the mod will no longer be worked on.
