Airtel has revealed that it has crossed one million users in less than 30 days after its official launch. To recall, it was released in early October in 8 cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri and Nagpur.

Airtel 5G is now available in the above mentioned cities on eligible 5G devices. Users who have access to Airtel's 5G network do not need to purchase a standalone SIM card or a 5G plan. It is said to be 30 times faster than 4G and enables seamless audio and video calls. It is based on the NSA structure and is said to be energy and carbon efficient.

Commenting on the achievement, Randeep Sekhon, CTO, Bharti Airtel, said, "These are early days but the response from customers has been very encouraging. Our network is being built every day although all 5G devices are now capable of working on the Airtel 5G Plus network with the exception of a few few exceptions should also be made in the coming weeks. We will continue to develop our network with a vision to connect the entire country."
