After two developer previews and over 13 beta updates on Pixel devices, Google finally has a sweet cookie upside down experience with stable Android 14. While it doesn't bring the groundbreaking features and major interface changes that Android 12 introduced, it does have some really nice quality of life improvements and minor features that should improve the overall user experience. As for the launch date, all Pixel devices from the Pixel 4a 5G received the Android 14 update on October 4, the same day the Pixel 8 series was launched. Android 14 was originally supposed to be released on September 4 but the same was delayed to next month. All devices in the Pixel portfolio received the update on the same day. As for other OEMs like OnePlus and Samsung who had planned the launch in the same month as Google, they have delayed the launch, and as of this writing they are briefly testing their versions of Android 14 Beta which are almost ready to start seeding to Stable channels.
