Apex Legends last received a new map with the release of Broken Moon in Season 15, which went live in November 2023. Respawn Entertainment has since only updated their maps with a few minor changes, although we did get new map teasers a couple of seasons ago . Well, the drought has now finally ended with the addition of "E-District" to the Apex Legends Season 22 map pool.

My FIRST Impression of the NEW Apex map! (E-district)

Apex Legends is heading to Suotamo or as it is now officially called the E-District. This place was once home to our beloved characters Crypto and Caustic. However, when Suatamo lost power due to the storm raging on Storm Point, riots broke out in the central "Energy Bank" POI, and Alter wreaked havoc on the "Humbert Labs" POI, the civilian population evacuated and the map was transformed into an Apex Games playground.

E-District, as you can see in the image above, is a neon-post-cyberpunk-esque map inspired by the planet Angelia. That's why when you drop into this map, you'll notice the distinct Titanfall "Angel City" vibe in certain locations. The northern and southern parts of the map's POI design are different visually to reflect the difference between the upper and working classes.

This is the sixth map in Apex Legends, which World Director Eduardo Agostini alluded to as the most densely packed map yet in the game. There's plenty of verticality, with room for roof-to-roof combat, melee, and many more playstyles unlocked on this map. Additionally, the E-District includes not only Jump Towers but also smaller Grave Launchers in some POIs.
