Let's start with the design of the latest Apple HomePod. From the sides, it looks like the good old trash can design that the Mac Pro has used for years now. The exterior of the smart speaker is made of seamless mesh fabric, making it easily fit into most modern home decor. At the top we have a shiny top where we will be able to notice Siri's glowing LED waveform, which really adds to the design. You'll also be able to tap the top of the HomePod to play, pause or adjust the volume of your music.

Moving on to the Amazon Echo, we have a cylindrical tube-like design with lots of holes in the bottom half for the speakers. At the top is an LED ring that lights up when Alexa detects your voice and answers your questions. This ring can also be used to adjust the volume in addition to other hardware controls. The speakers are located at the bottom of the device inside the removable base, which can be swapped out and replaced with some colorful ones that Google has to offer. The top of the device also lights up with Google colors when it detects your voice or answers your questions. Overall, it's a well-built device that certainly looks better than Amazon's Echo, but seems to fall short when placed next to Apple's latest HomePod.
