Apple often files unique patents for its products like iPhones, MacBooks, and even its long-awaited electric car, and while they may or may not see the light of day, they sound fun (at least on paper). The tech giant has now filed a recent patent, which aims to integrate a camera into the Apple Watch. Check out the details below right now!

Apple Watch News: Apple may add a camera to future Apple Watch models

Apple was recently granted a patent, titled "Watch having a camera" by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In the patent, the company describes a way to integrate a camera into the Apple Watch either by using a removable casing or fitting the camera lens into the existing digital crown of the Apple Watch.

"The watch may include a case having a front face, a back face and an attachment interface configured to connect to a watch band. A camera may be mounted on the case and configured to capture an image of a scene through the back of the case. A display may be visible through the front face of the casing and configured to display the image,” the patent states.

In the above suggestion, Apple says you could take off your watch and point it at a scene to capture an image via the back of the watch. But it will be quite a task and many users may miss the right moment to capture a scene with their Apple Watch.
