Apple will soon release the long-awaited iPhone 14 series in September and it is expected to get more demand. Even so, the tech giant is expected to produce fewer iPhone 14 models than expected, according to the latest report. Here's why.

Apple may produce smaller iPhone 14 units, new report says

A recent report from DigiTimes suggests that Apple may reduce iPhone 14 production units by 10%. Previously, the company was expected to produce 90 million units. Mass production for the iPhone 14 series has already begun. Although it was previously speculated that it would be delayed.

The reason for this is said to be TSMC. It is revealed that the whole problem started when TSMC had to adjust orders for its three major customers, which also include Apple. AMD and Nvidia have also suffered due to the current semiconductor situation and the mining boom.

But the report goes on to say that while Apple may cut the iPhone 14 series units, "the orders should be within TSMC's expectations." TSMC is also confident that its situation will improve this year and in the next 5 to 10 years.
