All are open but “significant restrictions” are in place including social distancing guidelines and a limit to the number of vehicles allowed to unload at any one time. To maintain social distancing people are encouraged to attend the sites alone and only one person is allowed out of the vehicle.

The sites accept a wide range of items, including large bulky waste such as sofas, chairs and white goods (including fridges, freezers and other electrical appliances), textiles, glass bottles and jars, wood, scrap metal, batteries, garden waste, electrical appliances and even engine and cooking oil.

The recycling centres in the borough are usually open from 8am-6pm every day. Chichester Street Recycling Centre.

All sites are open 7 days a week, 10am to 4pm. Social distancing restrictions are still in place and so all sites have limited capacity. We therefore advise all residents to only visit sites if it is absolutely necessary. When on site please be patient and respectful to both staff and other visitors.

There are several recycling centres across the wider Sheffield area, including those at Longley Avenue, Beighton Road, Blackstock Road and Baxter Road, so if transport and strength for lifting aren’t a problem, residents have several options for taking their unwanted mattresses and beds direct to their local centres.
