More than a week and a big call later, we have the results of this year's mob vote. The mobs that will be added to the game in the next major Minecraft update were just announced during the Minecraft Live 2023 event. So everyone, please make some noise for the winner of Minecraft Mob Vote 2023 – Armadillo!

Yes, that's right everyone, armadillos are the new mob coming to the game with the Minecraft 1.21 update next year! This cute animal will live in the warm climate of savanna biomes. Additionally, it will drop scute items and players will be able to use them to craft armor for their tamed wolves in Minecraft. This will make your loyal companions even more useful and strong in the fight against hostile mobs. Plus, if the armor is paintable just like the horse's, your dogs will even look cool while killing the mob! Will armadillos lose these items as they grow up, the same way turtles do? Or maybe when another condition is met?
