Q. What are the two major approaches to treatment of psychological disorders?
Two types of therapy are psychotherapy and biomedical therapy. Both types of treatment help people with psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia.
- Psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is the therapeutic treatment of mental illness provided by a trained mental health professional.
- Medication. Medication does not outright cure mental illness.
