The entire process of turning iron ore into usable iron must be done manually. You must first smelt the iron ore to make the iron bloom. After that, you need to consolidate your bloom with a hammer on a wooden stick. Once done, the Iron Bloom can then be taken to the forge where it can be shaped into a useful item.
