The Avengers franchise is easily one of the biggest franchises in the world. There have been a total of five Avengers movies so far, and the next one in the pipeline is called Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will be released on May 1, 2026. Originally, the release date of the film was May 2, 2025. However, their plan changed when the MCU decided to schedule Kang Dynasty after the debut of The Fantastic Four in the MCU.

In the latest report from The Hollywood Reporter, it is now confirmed that the title of Avengers Kang Dynasty will be changed to remove the name of Jonathan Major's character. Earlier in 2023, after Jonathan Major's arrest and conviction on domestic violence charges, he was fired from the MCU and we will no longer see him on screen. Now, if Avengers 5 is no longer called Kang Dynasty, it means that the lore of Kang is now over in the MCU with his last appearance in the Loki series.
