Chinese tech giant Baidu expects its robotic arm, Apollo Go, to be profitable next year.

Or more specifically, according to Baidu representatives, its self-driving division's unit economics are currently approaching break-even in Wuhan, and are expected to break even in the fourth quarter of 2024 and become profitable in 2025.

The tech giant also told The Register that its sixth-generation robot taxi costs about half of the latest model at ¥200,000 ($28,000).
