And just as EA had previously teased, Battlefield is coming with some exciting gameplay changes. First of all, there is no Battle Royale mode, but there are elements abounding from the popular format. There is a new co-op mode called "Combined Arms", where players in an online team are tasked with completing missions, following a storyline-like progression method. To avoid the paid progression controversy, there will be no DLC or Premium Pass in Battlefield V, meaning all players will have access to all in-game maps released after Battlefield V's launch.

Battlefield V introduces two new game modes – Grand Operations and Tides of War.

Grand Operations is a multiplayer mode that is divided into four chapters/days of mayhem. Just to give you an idea of how interesting this is, the final chapter of Grand Operations, called The Final Stand, will give players only one life and a single primary weapon with limited ammo to finish the level.
