Black Myth: Wukong's many similarities to Dragon Ball make the experience even more enjoyable for a player who is a fan of Akira Toriyama's work.

I thought Elden Ring was hard, then I played Black Myth Wukong

In the opening sequence of Black Myth: Wukong, Sun Wukong (or the Monkey King as he is popularly known) leaps from the top of his mountain and deftly lands on a rushing cloud that carries him over to where the Celestial Court's army awaits him.

It was a moment that brought a wide smile to my face, not only because of its visual splendor and cinematic style but because it reminded me of another favorite character of mine, even if his roots are more Japanese than Chinese.

It's no secret that Dragon Ball was the result of the legendary Akira Toriyama's love for the 16th century Chinese philosophical text Journey to the West, which also serves as inspiration for Black Myth: Wukong.
