boAt is a fairly new headphone brand in India that has made a name for itself by making some really good budget headphones. In fact, boAt BassHeads which retail for only Rs. 599 on Amazon is one of my favorite budget headphones right now. That's why I was quite pleased when I got to test and review their relatively high-end product, the boAt Nirvanaa Tres Triple Drivers headphones (£2,790). In this article, I will share my experience and will tell you whether the BoAt Nirvanaa Tres Triple Drivers headphones justify the price tag or not:

Before we start our review, let's check out what else is in the box besides the headphones. The headphones come in a fairly well-made box that feels really solid and premium in the hands. The inner drawer can be easily removed with the extendable handle. Overall, the unboxing experience is nothing I haven't seen before, but it's not terrible either. Once inside the box, you'll find a few things that you can see in the list below:

Since boAt Nirvanaa Tres Triple Drivers is a wired headphone, there is not much to talk about in terms of specification. The only spec that really matters is the drivers. As the name suggests, the headphones have a triple drive system with two 6mm x 6mm drivers and a balanced armature drive. The headphones also cover a frequency range of 20Hz-20000Hz, which should deliver good sound quality, at least on paper.

I was immediately disappointed as soon as I took the boAt Nirvanaa Tres Triple Drivers headphones out of the box. I was disappointed as I had high expectations for its build quality, seeing how boAt packed a metal housing with ear tips and a flat wire for their budget boAt BassHeads. However, the Nirvanaa Tres Triple Drivers headphones provide none of these things. The headphone case is made of plastic and feels really cheap in the hands. The wire is also regular rounded cable and feels like the boat picked it straight from cheap over the counter headphones.
