As has already been stated, Windows 8 is not currently supported. Yes, but as also has been stated, it works perfectly well for most people. I fact, if you Google Windows 8 and iTunes, only this thread and another on ASC come up. There are probably less reported problems on W8 than normal iTunes issues on Windows.
