Using the word “pow wow” is akin to using the word “sepuku” for a suicidal person jumping off of the golden gate bridge. You’re using a term that is meant for a traditional celebration of a people for a general purpose synonym to “meeting”. It’s not appropriate.

The term powwow, which derives from a curing ritual, originated in one of the Algonquian nations of the Northeast Indians.

Powwow is one word, not two. If you are writing or printing it as pow wow, it is incorrect. Check the dictionary, specifically Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary.

From what I am experiencing, a casual relationship is one that involves two individuals that are physically attracted to each other but neither wants to be labeled as each other’s significant other. There is no emotional attachment or expectations attached to this type of relationship.

The definition of casual is someone or something relaxed, occasional, not planned or informal. An example of casual clothing is jeans and a t-shirt. An example of a casual date is meeting someone for coffee. An example of a casual encounter is happening to see someone at the movies.

Casual dating or a casual relationship is a physical and emotional relationship between two people who may have casual sex or a near-sexual relationship without necessarily demanding or expecting the additional commitments of a more formal romantic relationship.

“Casual Dating” is just the adult version of “Friends With Benefits”, but with one small caveat. Like FWB, Casual Dating is all about having your cake and eating it to: Enjoying the benefits while waiting for something potentially better to come along.

Friends with Benefits is exactly that ‘a Friend you have sex with’. Just a friendly arrangement to satisfy a need. A Lover is someone you ‘Make Love to’.
