Q. What are the rules at Kalahari?
Indoor Waterpark
- Life vests are required for all children under 48″. At Kalahari Resorts, the safety and security of our guests is our number one priority.
- Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- State law prohibits any food or beverage to be brought in from outside the Waterpark.
Q. Do you have to bring towels to Kalahari?
Kalahari does provide towels to be used in the waterpark area. They are very small. If you prefer to have a towel that can wrap around your whole body, I highly recommend bringing your own beach towel. Beach towels are also great for finding and covering more of your lounge chair.
Q. Is Kalahari worth the money?
For the price of admission I would say that Kalahari is only worth the price if you’re staying the night. The change rooms are a good size and offer lots of lockers within the change room (and more lockers can be located outside the changerooms in the water park) (for a small fee and deposit).
Q. Which is better Camelback or Kalahari?
Camelback has a true outdoor water park with a huge wave pool and tons of rides and water play areas. This is the only advantage Camelback has over Kalahari if you are going during the warmer months. Both resort indoor water parks are comparable. Kalahari with more rides and larger indoor water park.

In regards to bed bugs, we take concerns of this nature very seriously. Our team is fully trained in identifying and preventing the spread of Bed Bugs. On a very rare occasion, a guest can bring bed bugs in, it does not have to do with the cleanliness of the resort.
Q. How many days should I stay at Kalahari?
A minimum of two nights to enjoy everything. You can access the resort early on your day of check-in and continue to use it for the day of check-out, which makes a one night stay a consideration.

Is there continental breakfast at Kalahari? There is food available for breakfast but it isn’t free. They have amazing baked goods! The water park is included if you are a guest.

No, they didn’t have bed bugs when we stayed there and I had read a review from 2 weeks prior to our going that they had bed bugs and in the building we were staying at. Everything was clean and we were very satisfied.

Yes! They have bed bugs! My room didn’t have bed bugs and I stayed at the Stone Lodge. The kids absolutely loved the place and I can’t wait until I get to take them back.

Yes, by Tennessee State Law, smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of the building. Therefore all guest rooms, balconies and public areas are non-smoking.
Q. How do you check-out of the wilderness?
CHECK-IN TIME: Your room will be ready by 4:00 pm on your day of arrival; however you may register as early as noon to receive wristbands and begin using the waterparks. CHECK-OUT TIME: Check-out is at 11:00 am but you may continue to use the waterparks all day.
