The Captain America created by Jack Kirby and the Steve Rogers portrayed by Chris Evans in the MCU are very different.

Racist Captain America

The idea for Captain America was born by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, first appearing in Captain America Comics #1, published by Timely Comics. The character is one of the most popular superheroes created and has managed to capture a large fan base.

Steve Rogers, who takes on the mantle of Captain America, was once a frail, asthmatic boy who wanted to do his part to help the Allies win against the Nazis. He takes on a super soldier serum that alters his physiology and turns to his peak physical form.

In the comics, the character is much more lively. Over the years, many occasions have shown us how different he is from the MCU's Captain America, who is toned down a lot. He is superhuman, with a vibranium shield, and fights both humans and aliens, whoever threatens Earth. But compared to the comics, when it comes to movies, Chris Evans Steve Rogers is a softer version, who is basically a SHIELD pawn most of the time.
