The first official version of Chrome for Windows-on-Arm laptops lands this week, just in time for this summer's Snapdragon X Elite-powered laptops running Microsoft's operating system.

Microsoft hates Chrome 😂

Until recently, Windows-on-Arm users have either had to run the Google browser on x64 emulation (and take whatever performance hit that entails), or leave it for Redmond's Edge or something similar. Now that's about to change, with an official built-in Chrome version for Windows on Arm from Google.

"We've designed the Chrome browser to be fast, secure and easy to use on desktop and mobile, and we're always looking for ways to bring this experience to more people," said Hiroshi Lockheimer, a senior veep at Chocolate Factory, on Tuesday.

"Our close collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies will help ensure Chrome users have the best possible experience when browsing the web on current Arm-compatible PCs."
