After years of supporting Civilization 6, Firaxis has finally decided to move forward with the long-awaited sequel Civilization 7. Announced at Summer Games Fest 2024, Civilization 7's reveal has many things for Grand-Strategy 4X fans to look forward to.
Sid Meier's Civilization VII – Official Teaser Trailer
Not many details have been revealed, apart from a beautiful trailer that takes us through the different ages of the world. The trailer starts from the sand dunes of Egypt, moves into the Roman Empire, the golden age of piracy and many more. An image of a human hammering on a metal confirms that Civilization 7 will also cover the industrial era. And the shot of a rocket going into space confirms that the final era of the game is the modern era.
While we don't have an exact release date, we do know that Sid Mier's Civilization 7 will launch in 2025 for PC and consoles. Sid Meier, the creator of the Civilization series, confirms that more details will be revealed this summer, giving you a whole new look at the game. So wait until August rolls around, as more details will emerge.
However, this isn't the first time we've heard about Civilization 7. Earlier today, the game's existence was leaked, when 2K Games accidentally made the logo official. Additionally, 2K Games confirmed earlier last month that they will reveal some updates on popular 2K series.
