New smartphone launches are something we always get excited about, especially when a brand releases its first ever phone. After an endless number of leaks over the previous months, Nothing's sub-brand has finally unveiled the CMF Phone 1, the latest budget-centric entry in Nothing's growing smartphone lineup.
CMF Phone 1: Cool modular budget phone!
With its first ever smartphone, CMF hasn't taken a generic route. First, the CMF Phone 1 comes with a modular design that allows you to swap back panels. You can slap a new cover by removing the screws and the physical dial and replacing the back panel with another one.
The CMF Phone 1 comes with a black back panel out of the box. Speaking of the replaceable panels, you can choose between light green, blue (India only) and orange panels, each offering a different finish.
The back is essentially polycarbonate, with a protective metal frame surrounding the camera. The main aspect in terms of design is the addition of what CMF calls the Accessory Point (aka the bottom right knob). You can unscrew the accessory point to attach accessories such as a strap cable, a folding stand or a card holder.
