Call of Duty is one of the strongest gaming franchises and the developers dipped their toes into the more ambitious and collaborative nature of the live service genre. The gaming community loved the multiplayer concept of the franchise and the developers created a dedicated game for them to fight.

The developers got comfortable and creative with the multiplayer aspect, creating unique animations called finishers. These can be activated when a player approaches a downed enemy and finish the job in a much more grotesque and playful way and the developers have outdone themselves.

Activision recognizes the value of the franchise and how much it means to the gaming community. The gaming company got a read on the current climate of the industry and is keeping up with the trend for live services while using the brand to promote Microsoft's subscription service known as Xbox Game Pass.
