Within feudalism, one can reform tribal holdings by investing in them – but how exactly?

Tribal to Feudal How to Guide for Crusader Kings 3 (Adopting Feudal Ways)

Tribal holdings can usually be upgraded to palisades, war camps, assembly halls, and markets. If you go from a tribal government to a feudal government, you have the option to pay and convert all tribal holdings in your land to feudal. This guide will show you how to feudalize holdings.

For example, you move to a non-tribal government, and you have some established tribal holdings in your counties; tribal holdings will not give you any taxes or fees as it is only useful for the tribal government. It should therefore be reformed into a feudal one.

Feudalizing a holding allows you to invest a hefty 500 gold to turn it into a castle barony. To do this, just click on your Tribe Holding and click on the circle icon that has a castle in it.
