Cloud Software Group – the offspring of the merger of Citrix and Tibco – has decided to withdraw the community edition of its JasperReports Server. Now all you can get is the commercial edition, with a 30-day free trial.

In fact, this appears to be a tactic similar to Red Hat's unpopular changes to how RHEL source code is distributed. Some of the JasperReports source code is still available on Github, but not all of it. JasperSoft's community site has grumbles from unhappy users – as has Reddit.
