With new lore and a mission set after the events of the anime
"Edgerunners" Mission Kit Review and Preview || Cyberpunk Red
It's been almost two years since Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the anime miniseries set in the universe of Mike Pondsmith's sci-fi tabletop RPG series, premiered on Netflix and won the hearts of fans worldwide. If you're still sad that there are still no plans for a second season, cheer up: R. Talsorian Games, the publisher behind Cyberpunk TTRPG, announced a new box set for the game inspired by both animes on Tuesday.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit was created in collaboration with CD Projekt Red and is a starter pack for the tabletop game intended as a love letter to fans of both the anime and Cyberpunk 2077, featuring all new maps of Night City, standees with new maps, standees and Cyberpunk Edgerunners dice .
Comprised of three books totaling 120 pages, Cyberpunk: Edgerunner's Mission Kit includes instructions on how to play for first-time players, a timeline of the Cyberpunk universe leading up to the events of Cyberpunk 2077, as well as new skills and official backgrounds for David Martinez, Lucy Kushinada and the rest of the main characters in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. As if that wasn't enough, the kit also includes seven new pre-generated characters for players to choose from with artwork designed by Cyberpunk: Edgerunner director Hiroyuki Imaishi.
