New Disney Lorcana Set Revealed! Shimmering sky! Destroy it Ralph! (BIG Disney Lorcana News)
Ravensburger's hit card game, Disney Lorcana, is getting its fifth set – Shimmering Skies – and it's packed with top-notch characters you'll want to collect. The set includes two starter decks featuring characters such as Wreck-it Ralph, Elsa and Donald Duck, to name a few. There is also The Great Illuminary, a new place card in a "radiant ballroom".
Shimmering Skies, announced Wednesday in a live stream, includes game mechanics that will be further explained closer to the release date: August 9 for local game stores and Disney properties and August 23 for mass market retailers. For now, enjoy these looks at the new cards.
Wreck-it Ralph makes his Lorcana debut with multiple character cards including two Vanellope von Schweetz cards and Ralph himself. Vanellope von Schweetz, the Random Roster Racer card is particularly exciting and gives players the opportunity to rush, aka challenge a turn. There's also a Donald Duck card, an Elsa rush card, and (most excitingly to me) a Kronk card listing him as head of security.
