Bengal cats may be physically the same size as a typical house cat, but because their bodies are leaner and more muscular, they often have the impression of being smaller. As such, Bengals can look smaller than a regular domesticated cat, even if they’re actually around the same weight.

These cats usually stop growing when they reach 18 months to 2 years of age. However, some Bengal cats can continue to grow for an additional year, but that is very rare. By 2 years, a Bengal cat will weigh around 15 pounds and can grow up to 15 inches in height.

Bengal cats, a fairly new hybrid of the Asian Leopard Cat and domestic cat breeds, are average to large-sized cats. While they may appear larger than they are because of their musculature, they don’t get much bigger than other domestic cats.

As a hybrid breed, Bengal cats are often larger than domestic cats. These supple but athletic cats weigh up to 7kg and can reach up to 70cm in height.

1. Point and Stare: If your Bengal bites, stare directly at them whilst pointing with one finger and say “NO”.
2. Clapping: As soon as your Bengal bites or scratches, clap your hands.
3. Use Toys: This is one of the greatest things you can do to prevent your Bengal from biting.

To keep your feline friend happy, spend lots of quality time with it. Play and cuddle together, and provide toys, perches, and scratching posts to enrich its environment. A healthy pet is a happy pet, so take your cat to the vet annually, feed it a balanced diet, and keep it clean and well-groomed.

Boredom – Your Bengal cat may meow at night out of boredom, especially if they haven’t had sufficient opportunity during the day to expend energy. The meowing may be your Bengal simply expressing excessive energy that hasn’t had a suitable outlet during the day. Also ensure you have plenty of toys for you cat.
