Q. Do you have to wear a helmet at the SnowDome?

Yes, therefore it is cold so you need to wrap up warm!

Q. What should I wear for snowboarding lessons?

The basics are a board with bindings attached and boots. You may also want to rent warm, waterproof outerwear like a jacket and pants, and safety gear like a helmet and wrist guards. Do I really need a helmet?

Q. What do you wear to Snozone?

You need to wrap up warm on the slope – it’s minus 5 degrees out there and gloves are a must! For hygiene reasons, we do not hire out gloves or socks. You must wear both whilst on the slope and can be purchased in our shop. Please bring warm, waterproof jacket and trousers with you to change into.

Facilities. The slope is 170 metres (560 ft) long by 30 metres (98 ft) wide with an incline of around 1:7. There are also 2 serial ‘travelator’ lifts for access back to the top and two rope-tows. The Snowdome has a learner slope underneath the main slope.

The SnowDome is open 7 days a week, 364 days a year. Is there car parking? There is a huge car park and car parking is £2.00 or free for drop offs up to 30 minutes. Is it real snow?

Q. Do you need to bring your own clothes to Snowdome?

Skis, boots and snowboard hire is included in the admission price, but you will need to bring along your own clothing. We have an Ellis Brigham mountain sports shop on site which stocks ski and snowboard wear. Are there lockers and changing facilities?
