If you’ve braked enough to make the turn you should get your foot over the gas as soon as possible to power out of the turn. While turning, your foot should be making its way over to the accelerator to start adding throttle.
Q. Should you accelerate through a curve?
This driving strategy will reduce the severity of a curve and the risk of skidding. Accelerate out of the curve. After you have safely driven through the curve, you can apply the accelerator and increase your speed. If you do this too early, however, you will risk skidding.

Q. How fast should you go while turning?
Good turning techniques Generally the ideal speed at the apex of a right turn is 10-15 MPH. The ideal speed in the middle of a left turn is usually 15-20 MPH.
Q. Do you press the clutch when turning?
You should gear down before the turn, and not hold the clutch down. Besides helping you slow down by engine braking, it gets you on a higher RPM which is good for getting back up to speed after the corner. Having the gear engaged also gives you more control in case something unexpected happens.
Q. What is an important step in turning?
Before making any turn, it is important that you signal. If your vehicle’s turn signals do not work, use hand signals. Make up your mind about your turn before you get to the turning point, lower your speed, move to the correct lane and give a turn signal to show your intention.
Q. Is making a wide turn illegal?
“The only (legal) exception for a vehicle making a right turn into another lane has to do with a transport trailer, if they have to make a wide turn.” If you’re on a road that allows turns from multiple lanes, you stay in the lane you started in — unless there are signs indicating otherwise.
Q. Do you brake turning?
You shouldn’t brake while turning as this can cause skidding. Basically, asking your tires to slow down and turn at the same time may exceed their traction. The same is true for accelerating while turning. Once you have completed the turn, you can slowly accelerate.
Q. Is it OK to floor the gas pedal?
short answer: no. Flooring your car is fine. It’s the best way to accelerate, after all. If your car has an automatic transmission, you can put your foot all the way to the floor and hold it there until you are well past legal speed limits.
