70 C is fine but could improve with a better cooler. But why? Let that puppy sound like a fighter jet if its gonna keep it cooler. If you’re using a relatively new graphics card and you’re playing at max settings, then yes, that is pretty okay temps for both the GPU and the CPU.

Some CPUs will never shut off because of temperatures whereas some shut off anywhere from 80-100 degrees. Also, 55 degrees is a very respectable CPU temperature, You’ll be fine anywhere until around 75 degrees.

AMD processors generally do run warmer than Intel processors but Intel processors can get hotter. AMD’s CPU temperatures are more or less consistent while Intel CPU temps can vary from system to system.

CPU have no problem running at 80–90 degrees. It’s the body which overheats and kills the board. We don’t know your specs. If it’s old notebook, just open it, clean fans, apply new high grade thermal paste and you’re find.

85C is perfectly fine for mobile processors. The “danger limit” is often 105C for Intel but it will throttle down its clocks well before that at about 95C or so. If you can keep it at 85C then it should run at its full potential.

Which CPU and what cooler do you have? Getting up to 85-90C with just Chome means you can’t load up a game or stress the CPU much more without it overheating. Yes it’s expected.

But, as a generalization that might help you identify a serious problem, if you have an Intel processor, you could say that a CPU core temperature of over 40-45-degrees Celsius while idling and/or a temperature of over 80-85-degrees Celsius while under full load is probably a cause for concern.
