As the release of Dragon's Dogma 2 approaches, here's a complete guide on the Pledge system, including Pledge Bows, their Vocations, and more.

Dragon's Dogma 2 – Pledge System Explained

Peasants are the unique AI-controlled player companions in Dragon's Dogma. At the beginning of the game, the Arisen (the players) are introduced to the Peasants, which are beings that lack their own sentience or true will. Peasants are loyal followers of the Arisen and are tasked with helping the Arisen in and out of battle.

Players can customize the appearance of their peasants and equip them with weapons and armor of their choice. Peasants also have a summoning, the class system in Dragon's Dogma, and players can equip the skills of their peasants, customizing them to help as they wish in battle.

The pawn system in Dragon's Dogma 2 is very different from standard AI-controlled companions in other games. Farmers provide assistance outside of combat, such as tipping off enemy weaknesses, showing the way to a mission, or providing useful tips in general. They also fight alongside the Arisen and target the enemy's weakness with their attacks if they know it.
