After every Apple event comes tons of judgments from users. While most of the commentary on the WWDC 2024 event yesterday came from both Android and Apple fans, not many expected Elon Musk to push back against Apple's recent move to integrate OpenAI's ChatGPT model into Apple devices.

Elon Musk says Apple devices will be 'banned' on companies after OpenAI integration

Musk shared his "completely unbiased" thoughts on the latest iOS version, calling Apple's move to integrate ChatGPT an "unacceptable breach of security," and even threatened to ban Apple devices from his companies. Image courtesy: Apple

Elon's accusations suggest that he probably did not see the whole incident and is commenting without knowing all the details. ChatGPT is indeed integrated into iOS 18, but it's opt-in, which means it can't access private data without express permission.

Business customers will likely have the ability to block the use of ChatGPT and Apple Intelligence features, so Elon's concerns seem misplaced. And visitors must check their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) June 10, 2024
