Emilia Clarke played a fascinating character named Daenerys Targaryen in HBO's hit show Game of Thrones. Her role was arguably the most important in the storyline that captured millions of hearts around the world between 2011 and 2019. Clarke received several accolades since debuting on GOT over a decade ago. She was also named one of the most influential people of 2019 by TIME.
Unfortunately, the award-winning television series ended in 2019 after its eighth and final season aired. Fans weren't too happy about it at the time and neither was Emilia Clarke, who had a problem with how the writers chose to end her character's story in the final season. Daenerys was killed by her own nephew on GOT, Jon Snow (portrayed by Kit Harington).
