Epic Games is once again strengthening its user-generated content strategy

Here's how to start building your own LEGO® islands

Epic Games is launching a set of Unreal Editor tools for Fortnite that will allow players to create their own Lego islands. Epic and Lego announced the tools during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco on Wednesday.

A bunch of Lego assets are now available in the Unreal Editor for Fortnite, along with four templates to play with. In addition, Lego has also created three of its own Fortnite islands: Lego Prop Hunt, a Lego game on the hidden prop hunt in a shopping mall; Lego Battle Arena, a Ninja-themed competition; and Lego Cat Island Adventure, an island where you are tasked with taking care of a cute little cat. Everything built in Fortnite must have an ESRB rating of E10+ or PEGI 7 – basically, they must adhere to Fortnite's family-friendly rules.

These are in addition to Lego Raft Survival and Lego Obby Fun from February.
