George RR Martin warned us about House of the Dragon's Writing
George RR Martin came out with some criticism that books have been adapted into shows and movies and rarely do the source material justice. But the author was pleasantly surprised when House of the Dragon changed the source material, just to explain it better than the books.
Blood and Cheese made its debut in the first episode of the second season, titled A Son for a Son, which refers to the death of Lucery's Velaryon in the finale of the previous seasons. The show sees the aftermath of the death, with Daemon Targaryen hiring assassins to kill Aemond Targaryen, called Blood and Cheese.
However, there was one addition to this treacherous duo, one that Geroge RR Martin wished he had thought of before the programmers did. Martin took to his blog and talked about what a great choice it was to give Cheese, the rat catcher in the Red Keep, a dog.
