The Marvel Cinematic Universe and The Boys are based on comic books, with a "superhero" storyline. Yet the two universes could not have been more different. While one is made with a vision to provide 'family entertainment', the other is strictly 18+ with some scenes so scary that even the stoutest of hearts should avoid.
There is no shortage of morally "inappropriate" or gruesome scenes in The Boys, with The Deep's unusual love story standing out the most. Still, a deleted scene from Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok is so "unusual" that fans would thank the studio for censoring it as PG-13 and not including that one scene.
The Boys are not afraid to go above and beyond when it comes to showing the most brutal and graphic things. It also doesn't shy away from presenting the most sexual things as well. In Season 3's infamous Heogasm episode, the Amazon show features The Deep having sex with his mermaid, aka Ambrosius the Octopus. he even asks his human wife, Cassandra, to have sex with the octopus.
