Actress Minnie Driver was the 'it girl' of '90s Hollywood, as she was tipped as the next big star after her Oscan-nominated performance in Good Will Hunting. While she was expected to reach the stardom of other stars such as Kate Winslet and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Driver has chosen to work on more independent and small-scale productions.

Driver's last blockbuster, Hard Rain, was reportedly not a good experience. Aside from being a bomb at the box office, the filming conditions were reportedly extreme and miserable due to it being set around a natural disaster. To top it off, Driver is reportedly fighting with the producer over miserable working conditions.

The 1998 action film Hard Rain starred Christian Slater and Morgan Freeman and followed the story of thieves who plan a heist during a flood. Mikael Salomon directed the film and it was a box office bomb, earning just $19 million against a $70 million budget.
