This mode can be especially handy when using some heavy websites or apps and even when playing online games. And if you want to use the inactive tab again, it will reload so you can get started.
Power saving mode, on the other hand, helps you save battery by limiting background activity and visual effects. So if you want to quickly search for something using Chrome and your battery level is as low as 20%, you will still be able to easily do the search without worrying about the battery dying.
