Google has doubled down on its commitment to making the internet a much safer place for its users by giving them control over their online data. The search giant recently introduced alerts for Android users during unauthorized tracking attempts. And now it's updated its Yu tool result to give you more control over your personal data if it's found online. Here are the details.

The #1 Worst Google Privacy Setting (Change It Now!)

In its latest blog post, Google has announced that it is coming with a significant update to its Finding About You tool, with which Google will alert you if your personal data ends up online and will further assist you in removing it. If you can recall, this specific feature with the ability to request removal of personal information was introduced back in 2022 at Google I/O.

With this new update, Google lets you choose to receive alerts when your personal information such as address, phone number, email, and the like ends up on Google Search. And with a new Dashboard interface, Google lets you easily request the removal of this data from Google with a single click. Additionally, Google will continue to notify and update you as and when your data appears on the web as new search results.

As of now, this feature is only available in the United States in English. So if you're in the US, you can access the Results About You tool either by clicking on your profile icon on your Google home page or by visiting the link here. Google has promised that they will bring this new feature to new places in new languages soon.
