The GoPro line of cameras has always been known to be action-oriented, and as such has been appreciated by outdoorsmen. However, that hasn't stopped a lot of users from buying GoPros for their daily photography. The GoPro Hero 11 Black, which was unveiled a couple of months ago, is the latest version of its action camera. While not exactly a step up in terms of design, the GoPro Hero 11 brings improvements in some areas, including a new sensor, improved stabilization, and more. But does the Hero 11 perform as expected and can everyday men consider buying it? Well, I took the GoPro Hero 11 out for a spin, took some photos around the area I live and this is what I found.

The GoPro Hero 11 was launched a few months ago for adventure users. I'll mention the design changes below, so let's talk about the new features inside the camera. For the GoPro Hero 11, the first and most notable change is the new 8:7 sensor. This provides a strange yet useful aspect ratio for video creators. The new sensor allows the Hero 11 to take higher quality and better composed photos and videos. As for why this aspect ratio, well, GoPro seems to believe it allows you to capture more and then crop it to your needs – be it for TikTok, Insta or even YouTube videos.
