Players rejoice! GPUs are getting cheaper again. With the inflated prices driven by crypto craze and chip shortages, picking up a decent GPU at an affordable price was an impossible task in the past few years. Forget affordability, even getting your hands on a flagship GPU meant competing against scalpers and crypto bros. Well, it looks like things are finally changing in the GPU market as reports have shown that GPUs are dropping below their MSRPs for the first time.

The REAL Reason Stocks Like Nvidia Are Crashing (DO THIS NOW)

As Tom's Hardware reports, GPU prices fell 15% in May and have seen 10-15% drops each month for the past few months. As you may have already guessed, the crypto crash and diminishing returns in GPU mining are the key factors driving down GPU prices.

As a result, top-of-the-line GPUs remained on the shelves without any people. For example, Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, priced at $2,000 is now reportedly selling for $1,800. Similar patterns can be seen across the board in other GPUs from both Nvidia and AMD.

The price drop is even more evident when reselling on platforms such as eBay. Getting back to the RTX 3090 Ti example, the eBay price for the GPU reportedly dropped from $1,829 on June 1 to $1,670 in mid-June. Given the pattern, it will definitely go down further. That said, keep in mind the GPUs from eBay as they may have been used extremely to mine crypto.
