Actress Halle Berry played the role of Storm in Bryan Singer's X-Men films, which are still considered to have changed the way the superhero genre was viewed by Hollywood. The films were produced by Fox Studios and received varying degrees of appreciation, with the final film in the franchise being released to negative reviews in 2020.

As the X-Men prepare for their MCU debut with Deadpool and Wolverine, an X-Men blooper reel shows a cameo from a popular Marvel character. The cast shows Spider-Man running onto the sets of the film in a scene with Berry and Cyclops actor James Marsden, after which the crew bursts into laughter.

The Bryan Singer-directed 2000 film was profitable for the studio and led to them making more films on Marvel IPs such as Daredevil and Ghost Rider.
