According to many My Hero Academia fans, Fumikage Tokoyami deserved a bit more admiration in the series than he initially received.

The epic roster of Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia features some of the best-written superheroes currently giving their all to defeat the League of Villains. Among these superheroes, one of the most underrated from UA High is Fumikage Tokoyami, also known as Jet Black Hero: Tsukuyomi.
Tokoyami's quirk allows him to manifest a sentient shadow called the Dark Shadow from his body that he can materialize and use to his advantage. The Dark Shadow is one of the strongest quirks in the series, as it can increase its strength with darkness and can even go toe to toe with some of the strongest villains in My Hero Academia.
Although Tokoyami is a great character, many My Hero Academia fans believe that he has not been given the importance and respect that he deserves. He has been ignored quite a few times, especially by his mentor Hawks, who trained him during Hero Agency Internships and Hero Work Studies.
