The gaming community isn't too optimistic about Atreus being the lead in his own God of War spinoff given his poor play.

God of War fans have enjoyed every epic moment of the Norse Saga and the developers gave the gaming community an amazing experience. The franchise has now outgrown Kratos, and the previous game's ending allowed other characters to potentially lead their projects.

Many other game developers operating under the PlayStation Studios banner gave other characters their spinoff adventures such as Miles Morales and Chloe Frazer of the Spider-Man and Uncharted games. It will only be a matter of time before Atreus gets his fair share.

Santa Monica Studio revamped the battle system of the beloved franchise and transitioned it into something even better that better suits today's gaming standards. One chapter in the Norse saga stood out because it gave the father and son duo the moment they needed on an emotional level that showcased Kratos and Atreus' combined might against Garm in God of War Ragnarok.
